ST. HELIER, JERSEY, APRIL 24, 2008 — Kaseya (http://www.kaseya.co.uk) a global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and corporate IT organisations, today announced that it will host Kaseya Connect, the company’s second annual user conference, June 1-3 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. Last year’s inaugural, sold-out event received rave reviews from all who attended and the 2008 conference promises to exceed those newly-formed expectations.
This year’s event will feature keynote speaker Craig Newmark, founder of the popular internet phenomenon craigslist. A former programmer and open systems specialist for IBM, and consultant for Charles Schwab with over 30 years of IT software experience, Newmark began the list as an email service for his friends in the San Francisco Bay area. Today, craigslist is one of the busiest sites on the internet, with listings for 567 cities. Newmark’s entrepreneurial success is sure to be an inspiration to everyone in attendance.
“I’m excited to be a part of Kaseya Connect,” said Newmark. “As a software engineer by training, I have witnessed how technology can fundamentally transform organisations and impact the routines of individual’s daily lives. It’s evident that Kaseya is committed to providing its customers with the tools they need to succeed, as well as fostering their development and creativity. I really look forward to speaking with the attendees and learning about how they’re using Kaseya's software to meet their unique IT challenges."
Kaseya Connect provides an important opportunity for managed service providers (MSPs) and IT professionals to meet and network with other individuals in the industry. In addition, the conference offers numerous educational seminars run by successful IT solution providers and industry leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from their peers about industry pitfalls and best practices. Seminar tracks feature discussions regarding everything from how to transition managed services to how to market effectively market offerings to customers.
Jim Simpson, managing director of UK-based IT Support company Ziptech Services, comments, “As the US managed services market is 12 to 18 months ahead of the UK, Kaseya Connect gives us advance warning of future trends and industry best practice. Kaseya Connect 2008 is well worth attending as it allows us to remain one of the leaders in implementing these technologies.”
Kaseya will also provide attendees with a sneak peak of what their users can expect from the company in the coming year. Guests of the 2007 conference were treated to a preview of Kaseya 2008, the company’s next generation IT automation platform which was made generally available in March.
“Last year’s conference was a major success,” said Dan Shapero, senior vice president of marketing at Kaseya. “We had a sold-out crowd and the feedback we received was phenomenal. We spend a great deal and effort determining what speakers and sessions will be the most relevant and beneficial to our users. We’re confident that this year’s event will continue building on the stellar reputation we developed with Kaseya Connect 2007.”
"We attended Kaseya Connect 2007 and were thrilled with the amount of valuable information we received,” said Brad Huffaker, district technologist/vocational director of North Conejos School District. “It’s wonderful that they are so in touch with their customer base’s needs. I would recommend that all Kaseya users attend and take advantage of everything this year's conference has to offer."
Sponsors of Kaseya Connect 2008 include Intel, Autotask, ConnectWise, Untangle, MSP University, TigerPaw, and MSP Partners.
