OCTAVIA TARGETS CUSTOMER EXPANSION AND SERVICE OFFERING IMPROVEMENT THROUGH KASEYA
- Kaseya’s Managed Services software the ideal fit for targeting new customers as improved and wider service and support now possible -
ST. HELIER, JERSEY, July, 23rd 2008: Kaseya, a global provider of IT automation software for IT solutions providers and public and private sector IT organisations, today announced that Octavia Information Systems (http://www.octaviais.co.uk), the London-based IT solutions and support company, has purchased 2500 end points of Kaseya’s 2008 Managed Services Edition software to enable the company to expand its customer base and improve service levels for current customers.
Octavia’s 32 staff provide thorough IT support to over 150 organisations – a total of approximately 2,000 end users on PCs, laptops, Macs and remote devices. The current client base is a wide range of organisations, across all industries and within both public and private sectors, including the Ministry of Defence, The Salvation Army and The Saatchi Gallery. Through Kaseya, Octavia anticipates being able to scale the support business significantly by extending service offerings and functions, but without the need to significantly expand the workforce or increase customer prices.
Giles Sirett, Managing Director of Octavia, comments, “Kaseya’s principal advantage is it doesn’t rely on a prescribed network architecture – it is so flexible that it can drop into any system and be used in virtually any client environment. This opens up our range of customer targets and allows us to provide far enhanced levels of support. Traditionally, we have been limited to monitoring the health of our customers’ servers, but with Kaseya, we can examine and support the entire system – a holistic approach to servers, workstations and devices.”
Sirett continues, “The support services industry is increasingly moving towards providing fully managed services so we needed a unified tool that would provide the functionality required, including audit control and remote access. Kaseya will not only provide this functionality, thereby enabling us to approach new customers, but it will also support our aggressive expansion plans, enabling us to add extra value to the business.”
Sirett concludes, “As a Microsoft Gold Partner, the Microsoft Management offerings were our first port of call. However, the functionality and approach of the Microsoft products did not suit our business or our customers, being predominantly aimed at enterprise level organisations, rather than the SME market which constitutes a significant percentage of our business. Kaseya was absolutely the closest fit both to our needs as a support service provider and to the needs of our customers.”
