Hacking group Anonymous has announced two new targets; The Bohemian Grove and the Metropolitan Police.

In a video posted online, the "hacktivists" claimed that they had insider information about the upcoming Bohemian Grove gathering and called upon its members to expose details of the secret meetings. No announcement has been made by Bohemian Grove delegates but it is thought they may be scrabbling to put in place a secure network management system before the convention takes place.

The Bohemian Grove was set up in the US after the American Civil War as a place for creative individuals to go and relax. Now it has grown into a meeting place for some of the most powerful people in the world and has been compared to secret societies such as the Illuminati and the Council of 300. It has, however, remained strictly men-only.

In protest at the covert meetings, Anonymous has posted a video online outlining its plans, also telling pcworld.com it has "literally explosive" evidence on the gathering. Anonymous has claimed it will release this information along with secret details it has obtained from the London Metropolitan Police Force, although no specifics have yet been released.

The video, shown on the dailymail.com begins with an air raid siren, before announcing, "For two weeks in mid July the Bohemian Grove plays host to some of the most powerful men in the world.

"These secret meetings must no longer be tolerated. These secret meetings must become transparent."
