Facebook infiltrated by Hotmail hackers

Facebook users should be extra vigilant after it was discovered hackers have found a new way in which to breach the site's security - through Hotmail.
According to Online Social Media, hackers have been exploiting the function on Facebook that allows users to reset their passwords via their email account.
If the email account is hosted by Hotmail, then the hackers are easily able to infiltrate the system; thereby gaining entry into the users' Facebook account.
This could affect not only the Facebook user but also any network systems they are attached to; as if the hacker has managed to get into the Facebook account, they may attempt to infiltrate the person's other accounts as well.
As such, companies should double check the efficacy of or invest in a network management system, in case an employee has accidentally allowed a hacker to undermine the security of a network - particularly as many employees ignore warnings from their employees regarding social media access during work hours.
Facebook has claimed that the issue had been sorted, and a fix put in place in order to protect its users with a Hotmail account, according to Tech.Resuck.com.
However cyber criminals work continuously to find new and more intelligent ways in which to hack into systems. This means individuals and companies should always be on guard for a potential security breach.
