Heidi Klum is the most dangerous celebrity on the internet, according to a new study.
Research by McAfee has indicated that internet users are more likely to get a computer virus searching for the German supermodel than they are for any other celebrity.
According to theglobeandmail.com, the research team at the anti-virus company estimated that those searching for pictures, screensavers or downloads featuring Heidi Klum had around a one in ten chance of installing malware onto their computer.
The shocking statistics highlight how many innocent looking websites are rife with potentially harmful software and demonstrates the need to install remote IT support software in order to protect computer networks.
The other celebrities in the top five most dangerous names list were Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel, Katherine Heigl and - somewhat inappropriately - Piers Morgan.
Speaking to msn.com, McAfee's director of web security, Paula Greves, explained that cyber-criminals have been piggy-backing on the back of popular celebrities for some time.
She said: "While slightly safer than last year, searching for top celebrities continues to generate risky results. Consumers should be particularly aware of malicious content hiding in 'tiny' places like shortened URLs that can spread virally in social networking sites, or through emails and text messages."
