IBM has announced its creation of a hybrid version of the public cloud; effectively a partnership between both public and private space.
It designed the hybrid in response to concerns from companies that their network management system was not safe when opened up to the public cloud.
ComputerWeekly.com confirmed that IBM will create a unique integration, which will "allow organisations of all sizes to gain greater visibility, control and automation into their assets and computing environments, regardless of where they reside."
This transparent service will means companies can keep a greater eye on their security, ensuring they have done all they can to avoid their systems being infiltrated.
Furthermore, it will speed up the rate with which companies can undertake essential tasks. It claims the hybrid cloud would in fact mean tasks that previously took "weeks" could be complete within days. Those who have already had access to the new system have praised it, such as Randy Berger, an IT manager for Siemens.
"As a user of IBM WebSphere Cast Iron, we have been able to not only easily integrate our on-premise and cloud-based applications, but also provide live feeds or order data changes to our sales reps on any device, including mobile phones, tablets and laptops," he revealed on Sacbee.com.
What's more, the service provides a one-stop-shop for monitoring the policies, quotas and performance of companies, which IBM has listed as a key selling point.
