Businesses could cut costs by at least 25 per cent by shifting to managed services software.
That's according to a new survey which claims half of businesses who responded were able to cut costs, thanks to the shift.
Tech expert Heather Clancy, writing for ZDnet, managed to sift through the new research; describing managed services like IT management software as "relationships that are ongoing and predictable in the sense that you know exactly what to expect as far as support, updates and technology management."
The data - which reflects interviews with 400 IT and business professionals - suggests 46 per cent of firms could cut costs by 25 per cent, while approximately 13 per cent of those surveyed managed cut their IT expenses by a massive 50 per cent.
Furthermore, Market Watch claims that 89 per cent of current managed services users are "very satisfied or mostly satisfied" with their experience.
Clancy continued to claim that one of the big reasons firms are turning to such software is that "it will free up their internal IT staff for more strategic projects", such is the reliability and efficiency of managed service software.
"If you would like your team to spend more time focused on technology projects that could help generate revenue, it might be time to consider a managed service relationship to help automate some of the tasks that are bogging it down," she added.
