New IP address management system for Barclays

Barclays Capital has announced the introduction of a new IP Address Management platform (IPAM) that will be rolled out throughout its global network.
The IPAM for the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC will be provided by Infoblox, who are committed to offering a robust 24/7 network management system for the global financial giant.
Infoblox's IPAM will be allow employees and clients of Barclay's access to the network at whatever time they need, wherever they need it. This is the critical selling point of the device says Jim Ditmore, chief information officer at Barclays Bank.
"Network downtime for us can directly translate to risk of financial loss; as a result, our standard criteria for reliability, security and manageability are very high. Infoblox is the only IPAM solution that has met and exceeded those criteria," Ditmore told FinExtra.com.
"Not only does the platform help us deliver essential network services flawlessly, it has helped us realise many efficiencies and scale with a keen focus on automating mundane tasks and increasing visibility and control."
Network news site, CBROnline.com reveals that the IPAM solution will simply the tasks of IP address management and will increase the reliability of DNS and IP address assignment services.
Barclays have reportedly standardised the Infoblox IPAM platform from 150 other Infoblox products deployed around the globe to date.
